He attended The Fashion Institute of technology in New York City, where he specialized in evening-wear and bridal. Guillermo’s experience and knowledge in dressmaking techniques allow him to analyze and execute the exquisite craft of bridal couture. A truly romantic at heart artisan that loves everything about dresses since he was a child. 

His collections are the result of a creative combination of experiences from the designer and inspiration which he acquires from art, architecture, music, sculpture, travels and culture. 

Guillermo has a deep love for plants and trees, he execute practices to protect the environment and includes sustainable strategies in his personal and business life, cutting and buying the right amount of materials to avoid fabric and paper waste, reducing energy use, driving sustainably, up cycling and keeping fabric leftovers for future projects and offering the sustainable service of designing new gowns using vintage materials and or antique dresses.

In 2019 he launched WHISPER by GUILLERMO PHARIS, a bridal brand available in USA and Asia. The collection was presented in New York Bridal Fashion Week in October 2019, Same year the designer opened his first bridal studio located in TriBeCa, New York City. By 2020 and 2021 he presented the collection in Shanghai Fashion Week and Hong Kong challenging the obstacles of a global pandemic, same year he opened a boutique in Downtown Denver. 

The brand has been growing one bride at the time, by May 2024 he opened his first Bridal Design Studio in Los Angeles, California.
